Long Day

I had a pretty hectic work week, which included driving to Waynoka for onsite training. It was a long day to say the least, but I came home to Duncan (Jack had class) and we decided to lay on the couch and rest.

Little did I know, Jack thought the same thing.

A strategically placed blanket, pillows, and remotes for an evening of relaxing.

Thanks Jack! You are the best!

Fun work event!

I work for a pretty awesome company in Oklahoma City. My CEO has connections. Last Friday, work hosted an event for Rob Lowe - yup, the movie star. He was in town for an event with a local hospital. He talked about his book (which I bought and heard it is hilariously funny). He has a pretty awesome story and I learned we share a birthday.

My CEO got him to say Boomer Sooner. and he left with Thunder jersey. and has a 60 foot crew racing boat named for him.
I'm hoping to start his book today, after I get some chores done... and maybe take a sunday napper.

Waterford Birds

I love watching these waterford birds (they are really canadian geese, but they are usually hanging around the waterford hotel, therefore - waterford birds; however they can also be found at the OU duck pond). I do occassionally see them at my office, about 2 miles west of the waterford. I thought this family was just the sweetest.

those baby birds sure look darling, with their fuzzy feathers.
I hear these geese aren't the kindest of birds. My dear friend Katie has a horrific childhood memory of these birds. I have yet experience such. I will probably just enjoy them from a distance.

ps - sorry for that horrible punctuation of the sentence in the paranthesis. I'm sure that isn't my first error; it also won't be my last.

I'm calling this October "Red, White and Blue October" (similar to the Sooners Red October in 2000), since I have been to pretty fortunate to visit some remarkable, historical sites this year.

Time to get back to Central Time Zone and back to "the real world".

Oh, Jack did a great job taking care of the house and Duncan Dog.
