Duncan and his awesome treat!

Preface: read this post first to get background information on Duncan's treat.

Duncan was introduced to USDA Prime!
We let him have some tastes of Jack's ribeye bone.

He loved pulling the leftover meat off the bone.

He loved this bone. Eyes closed, enjoying the tastes!

We watched him the entire time since we weren't 100% sure meat bones are okay for dogs. We watched him over the next few days and he seems to be fine! He got a real treat; he now knows USDA Prime Meat.

You lucky dog.

Why, yes, that can be our last name

According to the City of Oklahoma City Alarm and Permits Division, we are ...

Sorry for the unnecessary head tilt.
The Bevrkink's.

Jack has seen every version of the last name, but this one, was a first. Perhaps I didn't write legibly? Bad typos?

Who knows. I'll make a call and get this corrected.

Until then, Bevrkink.

(PS. also that day I got a "Gerurkink" on a package.)

A little Duncan Video

Two Duncan videos for you enjoyment.
We are not sure what these noises mean.

Hope this made you smile (or even laugh). Happy Thursday!

Dreaming of sugar plums

I snapped this photo of Duncan taking a nap this afternoon -

He sleeps in the funniest positions!
I think this may be his favorite; I often catch him in this sleeping position in the mornings. He enjoys a good napper!

heavy winds to double rainbow

We had another exciting evening of Oklahoma weather!
 Clouds brewing in the west
Southeast view

We had two power surges, which interrupted my laundry loads, but that was about all. Jack and I were still able to cook our dinner (chicken and roasted potatoes). It rained for about 30 minutes or so, then the storm passed and left us with this....
a faint rainbow - which became brighter....
and brighter...
and brighter! It was a double rainbow!
Rainbows make still make me smile, just like they did when I was a child. They are fascinating! I sat on our front porch step just watching the sky change colors and the rainbow arch appear and then disappear. I even saw some lightning "pass through" the rainbow. So beautiful and somewhat breathtaking.

Oh, and Duncan took himself on a walk. We let him in the front with us to take care of his business, but he had more important business down the street. So, the beauty of the sky was a little interrupted by Duncan's adolescent behavior.

Happy Thursday!
