Second Anniversary

I cannot believe Jack and I have been married for TWO whole years. It's been the best two years ever.

For our anniversary, Jack told his professor he would not be attending class and I am so grateful he skipped class for the occasion. We stayed home and he made the most wonderful meal and we had the most wonderful night.

As I walked into the house after a somewhat long day at work, I heard our favorite songs being played. All the songs reminded me of times in college while we were dating.

Below are some pictures, but they hardly capture the nights' perfection.

First up, Champagne.

The prep station: Steak, Bread and Cheese.

We had cheese fondue for our appetizer.

Jack's Filet with a compound butter mixture on top. Jack is so talented.

My steak (butterflied) cooked to perfection.

Dessert - cookie cake. Perfect.

Jack surprised me with this ring holder! I love it!

We had such a wonderful meal. It was so awesome to spend our anniversary at home - everything we used was a wedding gift from someone and it meant that much more to us. After dinner, we watched some of our wedding video and just had a blast reliving that day. What a special anniversary!

1 Year!

I can't believe this was us a little over one year ago -

And we celebrated in warm WARM climate, below the equator. We miss St. Lucia!

A year later, we are happy. So happy. We had a lovely dinner and dessert (on the house, courtesy of Red Prime Steak). We have been snowed in (and off work, together) and have truly been able to relax (and unpack).

And, we had our "top layer" of our cake. (Our cake lady - Amy Cakes - makes you a "top layer" as a first anniversary cake. This way, you get her cake fresh just like you remembered it on your wedding.)

 It was delicious, as always. We love Amy Cakes!

Jordan and Trey

Today, Jordan and Trey are getting married!!!!! We all have been waiting for this day forever and IT'S HERE!!

Good Friday, Day off of work!

 Happy Good Friday! I got to sleep in a little bit this morning... I loved it! Jack was extra quiet this morning getting ready for work, so I didn't even wake up until he kissed me goodbye.. what a gentlemen! I have a pretty optimistic to-do list today; I can't wait to cross things off! It mainly includes laundry and cleaning, but I can enjoy the housework with Rachel Ray or Oprah on in the background. Endless possibilities today!
